Welcome to the BARC Dog Show and Parade. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the BARC Dog Show and Parade mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The BARC Dog Show and Parade is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
BARC Dog Show and Parade You might think you're potty about dogs until you see the canine-obsessed crowd at this crazy show at the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC) Headquarters. Fancy floats, marching bands and dogs dressed to the hilt are combined with contests for the best butt, best kisser, best trick and more. There's no doubt about it, New Yorkers love their dogs. The efforts that go into some of the costumes at this Brooklyn parade are downright astounding. The show has been running to growing attention since 1987 and is a wonderful way to pass a fun-filled Sunday afternoon in the park. Kids are guaranteed to love it and it'll have you laughing all the way to the adoption and sponsorship section.
The parade takes place along Bedford Ave in Brooklyn and convenes for contests in MacCaren Park. All proceeds go to BARC, the local pet rescue organization.…...more!
